          The Display – Nanoedge

The screen of this laptop comes with thin bezels that surround it and gives a comfortable view to the users. The thin-bezel display with Nanoedge frame basically make the viewing angles wider and comfortable. So, if you are watching your favorite videos and games, the display of S14 is not going to disappoint you. It packs a 14-inch screen with full HD Resolution and a marvelous colour reproduction for vivid colours on the screen.

          Performance – Just As Required

With core i5, one has to be sure about the reliability and durability of any laptop. And, also the good news here is the maximum turbo speed of 4.2 GHz, which is excellent for any kind of computing. This speed allows highly intensive tasks to run smoothly without any major slowdown or lag. You can also play heavy-voltage games quite easily on this laptop, but if you are an average user, the use of complex applications is also smoother than you imagine. Along core i5, this laptop comes with an 8GB RAM and an SSD storage of 256GB which makes a decent combination for overall speed and performance. For all multitaskers out there, this laptop can be worked on easily, while you have opened several Google chrome tabs and also need to open another application or software along it.

          Design & Build

The textured metal chassis with diamond cut edges is enough to fascinate regular users and ASUS S14 encompasses metal body majorly. This ASUS laptop is designed with sleek packaging and comes with four attractive colours including hot pink, which is our favourite one. Instead of plastic, ASUS has used metal which defines a much better quality of this laptop in a reasonable price. The shiny ASUS logo on the back gives a classy vibe when you hold this laptop in your hands.

          Battery

Besides most of the usual features like any other laptop, the battery performance of ASUS S14 is fairly decent with the coverage of 11-12 hours. As of the charging, it takes almost 2 hours to charge it, but you can extract a full day-time longevity out of its battery.

          Verdict

We liked using the S14 with our in-hands experience, especially the design and build with sleek look along with a decent battery was the highlight of this laptop for us. As per the performance, the ASUS S14 performs as expected, its not something extra-ordinary but keeps up the pace. We wished RAM could be expandable, but we guess ASUS doesn’t allow this option in this one. We could drag this laptop in the best intel core i5 laptop list, but the memory option keeps it in between.
